Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
A week into December and it feels like we have as much snow on the ground as late January last year. Can’t say I’m a big fan, but we might see a White Christmas this time around. Let’s just hope this winter brings more of the light, fluffy snow variety than what we saw the other day.
Fewer bytes, slightly fewer boulders
On a personal note, I’ve been neglecting setting up the site in a way I’d like for a while. Decided to switch to Astro from Eleventy again and take up a new look and feel, keeping it maintainable/flexible with hosting on Cloudflare Pages and using Typewriter for MacOS and iOS to write in Markdown cross-platform (and maybe put my Logitech Combo Touch to use).
To be honest, writing that brings back some nostalgia for actual typewriters. If only!
Next spring, I’m looking forward to checking out more of the East Coast Trail particularly north of the city toward Flatrock and Pouch Cove and hopefully getting back out to the Bonavista Peninsula to hike Skerwink, Fox Island, Murphy’s Cove and some others.
What else is new?
Work’s been pretty busy. I broke down and got a HomePod and a couple Minis, rumours of an updated model be damned. Music is still the backdrop to pretty much everything in life, so they’ll go to good use.
I’ve been listening to:
- Everybody’s Talking by All Time Low
- Around The World in a Day 2025 Remaster by Prince
- Head Above Water by Avril Lavigne
- Que ta tête fleurisse toujours by Mika
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Full-Cast Edition) on Audible
I’ve been watching:
- Pluribus
- Parks and Recreation
- Chuck
Recently finished Buffy The Vampire Slayer for the first time - an awesome ride start to finish.
