One of my favourite things to do is seek out new music, especially pop punk, indie pop and alternative artists. Always open to suggestions as well!
Some picks as we reach the middle of a snowy December:
Music

Recently discovered the pop punk band Set It Off and listened to their self-titled album (November 7, 2025) and Midnight (February 1, 2019) in full. Big fan of All Time Low, Panic! At The Disco, Marianas Trench and Fall Out Boy so not sure how I haven’t heard of them before, highly recommend.

For a bit of a lighter mood, Lightning Might Strike by Juliana Hatfield (December 11, 2025) is a great listen. The first track, Fall Apart, and Popsicle were standouts for me.
-
A Little Lucky by Milk & Bone, a quick four song EP includes the super catchy Bloodshot. Bonus points for being Canadian!

-
First listened to Sarah McLachlan’s Better Broken in September on release, but still a great, nostalgic-sounding album. Title track Better Broken is 10/10.
-
Straight Line Was a Lie from New Zealand artist The Beths’ album of the same name.
-
The 30th anniversary deluxe edition of Oasis’ (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? has some great unplugged editions, especially the closing Champagne Supernova.
-
Give Me Something (for Arknights Endfield) by OneRepublic

Bubble Pop with Rachel Gilmore’s December 5th episode had a great interview with Green Party leader Elizabeth May, and a year-end retrospective was released today. Looking forward to listening to it this weekend!

WBUR’s entertaining Endless Thread is great if you’ve felt a little too terminally online. Reminds me of Reply All. Recently re-released episode Lofi Girl.
